TEHRAN–Caretaker of Iran Olympic team Hooman Afazeli resigned his post on Saturday.

Afazeli helped Iran to beat Kyrgyzstan in the Olympics' Asian zone qualifiers.
A source close to him said Afazeli quit because of the problems in the team.
Head of Iran Football Federation Ali Kaffashian said he has not received a resignation letter from Afazeli.
Iranian football officials had already announced they are going to hire a big name for their Olympic team.
